Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to support the refuge! The Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge could not accomplish its many projects and programs without the assistance of dedicated volunteers.

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities at the refuge, such as helping with Visitor Services, Environmental Education, Maintenance and many other positions for different types of interests. All volunteers are provided with necessary training and uniforms for the positions.

For more information on the Okefenokee NWR volunteer program, please call 912-496-7836 or visit the refuge volunteer page.
